Wow, what a weekend. Long travels and cold weather in TX? Weekend went well and felt pretty good riding a new set of 180mm DXR's that I put on my bike Monday morning. Felt way better out of the gate compared to my 175's. Felt like I was chopping wood all the way down the first straight, but I was just going to stick with them for the weekend. Ended up taking 2nd overall on Friday's ABA Super National. Saturday was the USAC race and I was feeling good thru motos and semi's. In the main I had the worst gate and first straight ever and went into the first turn in dead last. Well after PC crashed and I got into 5th I was coming out of the 2nd turn and Chad Street was laying down. Instead of plowing through him, I bunny hopped him entirely and landed into the face of the rythm section. It was wild. Ended up taking the 3 spot on sat. Not too bad for being last in the first turn. Sunday I was a little tired as I was on about 3 hours of sleep. Ended up taking the 3-spot overall again.
We did some killer interviews for GO211.com that I hope everyone liked.
I have to thanks Formula Bicycles for getting me out there and the guys at GO211 for letting me crash with them.
